How Much Does a Concierge Pediatrician Cost in 2026?

What is a Concierge Pediatrician?

Concierge Pediatrics is a membership-based healthcare model that provides personalized and comprehensive medical care for children. Just like concierge medicine for adults, this approach involves a direct relationship between a pediatrician and the patient’s family. At Concierge Pediatrics, families pay a membership fee to access this individualized care and enhanced pediatric medical services for their children.

By doing so, Concierge Pediatrics can provide families with unparalleled access to their medical care, including more time with their doctor, same day sick visits, directing texting with their doctors, in house labs and with no risk of unexpected denials from insurance.

What concierge care costs

Concierge medicine operates on a membership model. Instead of paying per visit, families pay an annual membership fee that covers their pediatrician’s services. These fees vary widely by practice and region, typically ranging from $1,800 to $50,000 per year depending on the level of service and amenities offered.

Concierge Pediatrics Membership Fees

Membership at Concierge Pediatrics starts at $150 per month, per child. A family’s annual fee will depend on the  number of children you enroll in our practice. We serve families from our offices on Long Island, NY in Roslyn, Woodbury & Bellmore, and Short Hills, NJ.

What the fee actually buys

At our practice, membership includes:

  • Direct texting access with your child’s pediatrician, not an answering service
  • Same-day or next-day appointments with no waiting room
  • Unhurried visits – 60 minutes scheduled for well visits, 30 minutes scheduled for sick visits
  • Comprehensive annual physicals: bloodwork (CBC, cholesterol, glucose), EKGs starting at age 6, hearing, vision, and urine screening
  • A take-home telehealth device called the Nonagon, so your doctor can examine ears, throat, lungs, and heart remotely
  • First newborn visit at your home
  • Mental and behavioral health care, allergy and asthma testing and treatment
  • Care coordination with specialists including Sleep Experts, Nutritionists, Endocrinologists, Orthodontics, Dermatologist, Orthopedists, Psychiatrists, etc.

What it does not buy: hospital care, specialist visits, or emergency care. You keep your health insurance for those.

Do insurance, HSA, or FSA cover concierge pediatrics?

Membership fees traditionally haven’t been covered by insurance. But that changed in 2025. New legislation now allows concierge models to receive insurance coverage up to $1,800 through HSA (health savings account) plans.

Even in practices like ours that don’t bill insurance, families with PPO plans have options. Our pediatricians can provide a superbill, which is a detailed statement of services provided. Our members can then submit the superbill to their insurance plan for potential reimbursement.

The hidden costs of traditional care

Traditional insurance-based pediatrics has no membership fee, but it usually isn’t free:

  • Copays and deductibles per sick visit add up for children who get sick 8–12 times a year
  • Urgent care ($75–$200 per visit) and ER visits ($1,000+) for problems a same-day appointment would have handled
  • The average doctor visit consumes over two hours door to door. For working parents, that’s real money
  • After-hours questions route through triage lines that default to “go to the ER”

Is a concierge pediatrician worth the cost?

The strongest cases for membership:

  1. Newborns and infants: home visits, direct access for feeding and sleep questions, no waiting rooms during RSV season
  1. Children with chronic conditions: asthma, allergies, ADHD, anxiety — conditions that need coordination, not 12-minute appointments
  1. Frequent sick visits: daycare and elementary years
  1. Kids away from home: our college program and telehealth device cover students who may be hours away at just over $100 a month
