Hi! I’m Dr. Nikhil Shah, a board-certified pediatrician and pediatric emergency medicine specialist. I grew up in Great Neck, Long Island and completed my residency and fellowship training not too far from there at Cohen Children’s Medical Center. I currently live in northern New Jersey with my wife, Lori, and two teenage daughters. 

For the past 20 years, I have had the privilege of taking care of countless sick and injured children in the pediatric ER and urgent care settings. During my career, I have been fortunate to work in some incredibly rewarding roles, as fellowship director for pediatric emergency medicine, overseeing operations for a pediatric urgent care office and creating training programs for hundreds of physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. I have also authored numerous publications and spoke at national-level conferences.

I am beyond excited to join the Short Hills team at Concierge Pediatrics and share their vision in creating a more personalized approach to pediatric healthcare, from well child care and beyond. My commitment is to focus on what matters most—helping kids stay healthy and supporting parents every step of the way in their journey from birth to college years and beyond. 

Outside of work, I enjoy pickleball, 80’s music, playing the guitar, and I am an aspiring home cook who loves creating new recipes that incorporate flavors from my Indian heritage.
